Responsibilities

Prepare asset, liability and capital account entries.

Maintain documentation, approval and support for accounting entries.

Reconcile accounts completely and on time, including financial discrepancies.

Prepare financial statements and other reports.

Help to achieve desired closing timelines.

Maintain financial security and confidentiality with internal controls; recommend policies and procedures related to the same.

Ensure compliance with US GAAP; recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options.

Ensure compliance with federal, state and local financial legal requirements by researching and interpreting policy and regulations; prepare advisement for management on required actions.

Special financial reports including but not limited to summarizing account information and trends.

Support audits as required.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
