Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients using QuickBooks Online/Desktop.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial statements.
Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
Manage payroll processing and ensure timely payments.
Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation.
Handle sales tax filings and ensure compliance with state and local regulations.
Track and categorize expenses, ensuring proper allocation to projects or clients.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis as required by CFO.
Provide support for financial audits and tax preparation.
Prepare individual and business tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Identify opportunities for tax savings and credits.
Handle sales tax filings and compliance.
Provide support for tax audits or inquiries from federal and state entities.
Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial data and documents.
Organize and maintain client files and task lists.
Liaise with state and federal entities on clients' behalf when necessary.

Required
Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably with experience managing multiple clients.
Minimum of 3 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Desktop (certification is a plus).
Strong understanding of AP, AR, payroll, general ledger functions, and tax compliance.
Experience preparing individual and business tax returns.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with the construction industry or other project-based industries is a plus.
Preferred
Experience working with a fractional CFO or accounting firm.
Knowledge of additional accounting software tools (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, Bill.com) is a plus.
Ability to generate and interpret financial reports for clients.
