Responsibilities
Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including managing expenses, receipts, and financial records.
Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal use and stakeholder review.
Accurately input financial data into accounting software, maintain organized financial records, and ensure accuracy in all financial documentation.
Assist in processing invoices, payments, and other financial transactions while ensuring compliance with company policies.
Support the team in tracking and reporting budget variances, analyzing spending trends, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Collaborate with AOWA staff on additional tasks and special projects as needed.

Required
A resident of Massachusetts or currently attending a college in Massachusetts.
Currently enrolled in a university or college, ideally in an Accounting, Finance, Business, or related program
Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets; familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
Preferred
Interest in renewable energy and the offshore wind industry is a plus.
