Responsibilities

Manage internal accounting staff and third-party resources posting transactional activity within Captives units

Ensure financial transactions are in alignment with US GAAP, the Company’s accounting policies procedures, and ASC 606 obligations

Provide oversight of monthly reconciliations of Captive balance sheet accounts and balances are substantiated with appropriate documentation along with oversight and review of internal producer and outside broker compensation

Assist Tax department with gathering Captive related tax documentation, including 1099’s

Develop recommendations to optimize controls and processes to detect inaccuracies and participate in D365 conversion activities with direct responsibility for GL conversion entries

Assist with internal and external audits

Required

Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience

Accounting degree required

Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications, esp. Microsoft Office Suite

Must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel with ability to perform pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SumIF, IF Statements, and other formulas commonly used for research and reconciliations

Preferred

Captives or Audit accounting experience
