Responsibilities
Daily follow up on all outstanding insurance and patient claims for the payers they are responsible for.
Assist the Billing and Collections Supervisor fielding questions from the A/R Reps and billers.
When needed assist working the failed bill and claim reports generated by the clearinghouse and insurance carriers.
Gather information from the A/R Reps to assist with claim resubmission projects and meetings with the insurance carriers.
Work with management to streamline billing procedures based on denial types.
Assist with working monthly reports (debits, credits, Value Care, Close reports, etc…)
Identify trends in denials and short pays and develop plans for correction.
Handle correspondence from insurance companies including denials, information requests or refund requests.
Handle incoming calls from patients and insurance companies regarding claims and patient balances.
Assist with the training of new team members on the system, A/R procedures, and general NextCare Policies and Procedures.
Assist in identifying bottlenecks in the revenue cycle and develop solutions to streamline the process.
Treats patients and co-workers consistent with the NextCare Mission Statement, Vision, Values and Performance Standards.
Performs other related duties as assigned or described in Company policy.

Required
Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent.
Four years' experience in billing, collections, and general accounts receivable management.
Experience with Managed Care contracts, Medicare and Medicaid.
Preferred
Medical collections experience.
NextGen software experience.
