Responsibilities
Perform accurate and timely follow-up on unpaid and underpaid claims, including working with payers to resolve denials
Research claim denials to identify root causes and trends, and recommend solutions to prevent future denials
Execute appeals processes as necessary and document all actions taken on accounts
Conduct eligibility and claim status inquiries through various channels, including outbound calls and online tools
Meet established productivity and quality metrics, collaborating with supervisors to improve performance

Required
High School Graduate/GED required; Technical School/2 Years College/Associates Degree preferred
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle
Knowledge of healthcare billing, including CPT/ICD-10 coding and various insurance requirements
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer literacy skills
Preferred
Understanding of the entire revenue cycle and its components
Experience working within a high-performing team environment
Service-oriented and customer-centric mindset
Proven track record of achieving results in a similar role
