Responsibilities
Improve functionality and efficiency of AR systems and staff, which may involve reorganization of structure and functions regarding AR. Evaluate staffing levels, staff proficiency and job responsibilities.
Ensure uniformity within AR operations.
Maximizes AR staff productivity through proficient use of appropriate software applications and systems, effective utilization of resources and delegation of duties.
Develop effective control and warning systems to identify AR problems early on.
Monitor and review AR issues and work with staff to track and minimize them.
Maintains and ensures compliance with MEC collection policies and procedures.
Assist AR staff with reconciling and finalizing difficult accounts.
Identifies problems and takes initiative to seek appropriate and timely resolution.
Maintains an in-depth knowledge of practice management system, clearing house and payer websites.
Assist in development and implementation training and education programs for AR staff.
Monitor monthly KPIs and other metrics in collaboration with Revenue Cycle Manager.
Other duties as assigned.
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of AR and Payment Application Team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with NWE's policies and applicable laws. Includes, but not limited to, budgeting, hiring, performance reviews, employee development, approving timecards, plans, assigns and directs work, pay recommendations, coaching, counseling, and discipline, addresses issues and concerns, facilitates conflict resolution, models NWE's code of conduct and mission commitments always.

Required
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, or two to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
