Responsibilities

Review, verify and analyze insurance data.

Perform actuarial analysis necessary to prepare a variety of exhibits (including rate indications, territorial base rate analysis, competitor rate comparisons, exposure reports, and any other exhibits necessary for state filings).

Research competitor filings and serve as a subject matter expert on rating procedures for various insurance programs.

Coordinate with Systems to ensure that products are implemented correctly and in a timely manner.

Extract data from various databases to prepare required exhibits.

Review industry publications and monitor pending legislation and regulations to determine the impact of new developments on company insurance products.

Prepare miscellaneous reports to aid in monitoring the performance of products, producers, and other key elements of insurance profitable growth.

Conduct Multivariate Analysis of pricing variables to determine the appropriate level of pricing for new and existing pricing variables.

Required

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics or related technical field with demonstrated rigorous mathematical course work required.

Minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience, including experience with Excel, SQL, Access, and Word required.

Passing credit for three plus (3+) Actuarial Exams required.
