Responsibilities

Perform a wide range of actuarial tasks, including pricing, reserving, financial reporting, cash flow testing, and other actuarial modeling activities
Perform detailed actuarial analysis and develop creative solutions tailored to client needs
Develop and maintain actuarial models to assess the financial implications of life insurance and annuity products
Develop a deep understanding of clients' businesses and their unique needs
Manage client engagement projects, ensuring all deliverables are met and expectations are exceeded
Serve as the primary point of contact for client projects, maintaining strong relationships and providing ongoing support
Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
Utilize actuarial software and tools to perform detailed analyses and develop accurate models
Work closely with project team members to ensure the technical accuracy and integrity of analyses, templates, and exhibits
Prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, ensuring efficient use of resources
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, underwriting, and product development, to achieve client objectives

Required

Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field and/or possess a combination of education and experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in life and annuity actuarial work, with significant progress in Society of Actuaries (SOA) exams or attainment of ASA credential
Strong command of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
Strong time management skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and of the highest quality
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and team members professionally
Possess the ability to effectively communicate complex actuarial concepts to clients and team members
Demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

Preferred

Experience with actuarial software such as Moody’s AXIS is highly preferred
