Responsibilities
Interface with clients to understand their needs and to manage the project internally
Use a variety of Milliman models and other resources to produce health care cost projections and other actuarial work products.
Draft written reports and other correspondence
Review the work of others as part of Milliman's commitment to high quality work
Assist with research and marketing projects

Required
Bachelors degree, preferably in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics, or some other analytic field
Achievement of Fellow of the Society of Actuaries
Roughly 8+ years of relevant actuarial work experience in Medicaid or commercial health insurance.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Passion to help clients solve their most pressing problems using quantitative thinking and analytical tools
Preferred
Prior experience with benefits and/or pricing for plans offered through state or federally facilitated exchanges
Willingness and aptitude for detailed work
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Strong creative problem-solving skills with an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset
Strong knowledge of Excel and database/statistical analysis language (SQL or SAS)
Experience leading more junior actuarial staff members is a plus
Willingness to work with clients and teams located in Pacific time zone
