Responsibilities

Working with cross-functional team to identify and understand required changes to AXIS annuity models

Provide detailed checks of model validations performed by the model development team to ensure robust documentation of the reviews.

Perform an independent comprehensive model validation for key model changes including key data inputs, assumptions, and model calculation by updating Microsoft Excel model validation tools.

Develop and implement automation strategies to enhance existing validation tools, creating efficient, repeatable and scalable processes.

Engage with model developers and other stakeholders to communicate model review findings and develop appropriate solutions.

Identify and recommend process improvements that significantly reduce workload or enhance quality across the team

Review financial projection model used for long-term strategic plan, identify & research issues in models, and provide solutions.

Required

7+ years of actuarial experience with actuarial credentials (ASA or FSA)

Experience in actuarial modeling and/or valuation experience in GGY-AXIS

Experience in reviewing and assessing the appropriateness of complex models

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Substantial annuity product knowledge and general insurance business knowledge

Strong understanding of regulatory and accounting frameworks (Stat/GAAP/Tax/RBC)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

History of innovation and process improvement

Preferred

Experience with VBA, Python, or other programming languages

Experience working with business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau)
