Responsibilities
Perform cash flow testing and asset adequacy analysis to ensure long-term solvency and financial resilience, aligning with regulatory requirements and actuarial standards of practice.
Research and stay apprised of changes in pertinent regulations to ensure compliance in analysis and decision making. Apply actuarial analysis in the development and maintenance of sound, efficient, and accurate systems to support calculations and recommendations.
Lead or participate in business unit or cross company projects as a subject matter expert. Provide analytical and research-based consultation to achieve cost effective and strategic solutions.
Contribute to financial and strategic planning initiatives within business unit by identifying key priorities based on internal and external needs.
Responsible for duties associated with management of staff including, but not limited to: hiring, salary administration, and performance management. Provide strategic direction and leadership to direct reports on the day-to-day functions of their jobs.

Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
A Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, or global equivalent, or Enrolled Actuary and 8+ years actuarial experience required
Knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, the Actuarial Standards of Practice promulgated by the Actuarial Standards Board, and the Code of Professional Conduct of the AAA and the SoA is required
Basic knowledge of Life Risk Management and Asset Liability Management
Informal or formal leadership experience
Must maintain continuing education requirements as specified by the SOA or AAA
Good communication skills and knowledge of spreadsheet and database or similar PC software packages, or ability to learn
Preferred
Life insurance knowledge
ALFA modeling experience
