Responsibilities

Typically leads a section or function within a product line such as product development, financial reporting, management reporting, experience studies, risk management reporting, and actuarial research.
Responsible for actuarial reports, projects, and analysis.
Improves processes and creates efficiencies with reporting, documentation, and transparency.
Usually supervises small actuarial teams of analysts and actuarial students.
Commitment to self development and advanced industry knowledge.
May assist with division and actuarial team strategy.
Approximately 30% of time spent on recurring duties, 40% on project related work, and 30% management related duties including reviewing work and developing employees.

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent with strong quantitative background including college level mathematics.
5+ years of annuity related actuarial experience.
Finished with actuarial exams (FSA), or career ASAs with 15+ yrs. Experience.
Has a profound understanding of fixed indexed annuity.
Proven ability to adhere to due dates and strong sense of accountability.
Ability to work collaboratively and guide junior actuaries.
High school diploma required.

Preferred

Experience with MG-ALFA a plus but not essential.
