Responsibilities

Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the District's rules, policies, and procedures.
Receive and direct all telephone calls and visitors promptly, accurately, professionally, and courteously.
Perform general office duties including mail handling, typing, proofreading, filing, copying, collating, and data entry.
Assist with coordination of food and event duties at the training facilities.
Order office supplies and other general supplies as directed.
Respect confidentiality in discussing organizational matters.
Assist with fire academy data entry and logistics.
Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of the training facility, gym, and sauna.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with District employees, volunteers, retirees, reserves, residents, and the community.
Maintain positive and constructive written and oral communication skills.
Work well in a team-oriented environment.
Provide excellent service to the community.
Promote a positive, professional image of the District.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required

Possess a high school diploma or G.E.D.
One (1) to two (2) years of administrative fire service experience.
Knowledge of basic fire service terminology.
Knowledge of computer software used to complete assigned projects.
Ability to operate a variety of office equipment, including a computer, copier, fax machine, calculator, and telephones.
Ability to consistently and accurately multi-task and prioritize duties and projects.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at a level adequate to perform the duties of the position.

Preferred

Colorado Metropolitan Certification Board (CMCB) certified evaluator I within 30 days of employment.
