Responsibilities
Manage phone calls, messages, and e-mails
Greet patients, check-in, verify insurance
Schedule patient appointments and tests (MRI, EMG, EEG)
Work with paper charts and electronic medical record (EMR)
Obtain insurance authorizations and referrals
Obtain intake materials and implement a plan for tests or a return visit following the appointment
Process prescriptions
Perform general clerical duties (filing, ordering supplies, etc)

Required
BA/BS REQUIRED
Strong candidates are detail-oriented with an ability to multi-task and prioritize
Ability to problem-solve and work independently
Organizational skills are critical
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, physicians and other personnel
Preferred
Previous experience in medical terminology, obtaining insurance authorizations and patient referrals, and computer applications is preferred
