Responsibilities

Provide routine clerical, administrative, and general office support including typing, data entry, record and file maintenance, telephone reception, and visitor reception and tracking.
Assist with classes hosted at the facility by registering students, coordinating classroom usage, maintaining TCOLE records, coordinating new hires’ information, and tracking equipment in classrooms.
Manage the uniform room and uniforms by supplying employees with uniforms and policies, handling used uniforms, and submitting purchase orders for office supplies and equipment.
Order, track, verify, and disburse office supplies, uniforms, and equipment. Coordinate purchases and receipts with the Sheriff's Office Accounting Office and selected vendors.
Organize and stock the uniform/equipment room, issue uniforms and equipment to employees, maintain inventory, and match uniforms for proper fit.
Perform administrative duties for the Training Academy including enrollment, scheduling, paperwork, and posting available in-service classes online.
Participate in new hire orientation related to uniform and grooming standards, coordinate Training Academy meeting room usage, deliver mail and packages, and provide reception at the Training Academy.
Answer employee questions regarding benefits, leaves of absence, TCLETS information, and act as a liaison to Human Resources as needed. Maintain statistics for TCLETS regarding inservice classes and hours.

Required

HS diploma or GED
Three (3) years of clerical experience
Valid and current driver’s license required
Good organizational skills
Basic computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet, and database software needed to access and enter data into documents
Must be familiar with office equipment
