Responsibilities

Provide high-level administrative support including scheduling appointments, drafting correspondence, and preparing documents.
Coordinate meetings, record minutes, and compose post-meeting reviews.
Maintain appointment schedules and calendars, including arranging hotels and meetings for incoming speakers/solicitors.
Process expense reports and maintain records of all spending activities.
Manage logistics for all fundraising and educational events, ensuring successful execution.
Oversee event programming including AV, catering, decorations, and vendor activities.
Create and coordinate communication materials for events such as press releases, media alerts, invitations, advertisements, online and email marketing, community calendar listings, event signage, and donor recognition materials.
Track donation amounts and guest lists.
Coordinate year-round speaker and donor engagement events.
Research potential venues for events and serve as the point of contact with vendors.
Oversee all volunteer activities and initiatives.
Coordinate the summer Government Advocacy Internship Program office placements and seminars.
Work with college campuses across the US to promote programming focused on contemporary human rights issues.
Facilitate marketing, public relations, and outreach efforts for the Eastern region.
Generate press releases and media alerts; build relationships with key media personnel and organize press conferences.
Manage all external communications, designing and writing content for e-marketing and social media campaigns.
Receive and distribute correspondence including phone calls and messages, prioritizing as necessary.
Channel and facilitate communication from the organization’s Headquarters and other offices.
Maintain and grow the donor database.
Process contributions, prepare donor forms, issue receipts, and thank you letters.
Conduct research on current and potential donors.
Assist in coordinating meetings with community leaders to advance the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s advocacy efforts.
Work with all SWC regional boards, including the SWC Regional Advisory Board and Wiesenthal Government Advocacy Internship Program Alumni Association.
Document and record advocacy efforts of Simon Wiesenthal Center’s leadership.

Required

Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Jewish community organizational structure, a related non-profit, or the governmental, political, or developmental realm.
Deep understanding of the organization’s mission and a willingness to work periodically on nights and weekends as events or circumstances dictate.
Passion for the organization’s mission and a strong work ethic that includes multitasking, handling multiple projects simultaneously, and adapting to the needs of a small office.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Constant Contact, Social Media, and the ability to adapt to fundraising and development software programs.
Solid professional writing skills.
Personality that fits into a safe, inclusive, open, and collaborative culture requiring teamwork and significant interaction with employees at all levels.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment where attention to detail is crucial.
