Responsibilities

Interaction with the investigative/technical staff with regards to sample submission and resolution of discrepancies
Perform data entry for tracking of samples, billing, and projects
Procurement of office and laboratory supplies using all mechanisms (Blanket Order, Purchase Request, credit card) either by telephone, email, or via the internet
Completing credit card reconciliations within established time frames, addressing invoicing issues, requesting direct payments via Corcentric
Use financial reports in Cognos to research orders placed
Placing service requests for maintenance service repairs
General office duties include but are not limited to filing, answering and directing phone calls and emails
Schedule and document meetings via calendar invites, Microsoft Teams, and hosting WebEx meetings
Preparation of scientific travel documents
Performs other related duties as assigned by a responsible authority

Required

Possession of high school diploma
No work experience required with a high school diploma
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to perform work assignments independently or alongside other team members in the required/expected timeframe, and in accordance with the established policy and/or procedure
Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging, multi-priority environment.
Experience with Microsoft Office
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Preferred

One to Two (1-2) years of clerical/administrative experience
Experience using Deltek Costpoint, Cor 360, Cognos
Ability to multi-task
Eagerness to learn new skills
Strong attention to detail
Familiarity with scientific terminology
