Responsibilities
Utilizing engineering principles to support aircraft activities
Assisting in the preparation of engineering reports
Assisting in the development, design, and testing of aircraft systems
Executing project plans, defining problems, and preparing reports of any discrepancies

Required
Degree in Engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET
Transcripts must be submitted with the application package
Professional registration or licensure as Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE)
Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal Service
Utilizing engineering principles or practices to support aircraft activities
Assisting in the preparation of engineering reports
Preferred
One full year of graduate-level education in a related field
Bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement (GPA of 2.9 or higher based on a 4.0 scale)
Membership in a national Scholastic Honor Society certified by the Association of College Honor Societies
3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
Volunteer work experience
Experience in the Federal government
Experience in interdisciplinary positions
