Responsibilities
Review air permit applications and modifications to ensure compliance with CAA and NESHAPs requirements.
Develop CAA and NESHAPs document review plans and provide management support for compliance processes.
Prepare materials necessary for securing DOE Management Certifications and conduct environmental regulatory research related to CAA and NESHAPs laws.
Provide responses to inquiries, data requests, and participate in stakeholder events.
Conduct training and mentoring on CAA and NESHAPs to other subject matter experts.
Review NEPA documentation to evaluate air emissions for project/program work.

Required
A BA/BS degree in engineering, the physical/natural sciences, or engineering/technical management, with seven or more years of experience in federal or federal government contractor organization or private sector entity, any and all of which involved overseeing or implementing federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations. Expert knowledge and demonstrated experience in NESHAPS, and CAA. Previous experience at the INL is preferred.
An associates degree with three or more years’ experience in a federal or federal government contractor organization or private sector entity, which involved implementing federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations. Familiarization with NESHAPS and CAA. Previous experience at the INL is preferred.

For both levels of the position, a combination of education and experience may be substituted for the degree.
