Responsibilities

Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance.
Repair and modify aircraft structures and components.
Maintain and repair aircraft components such as flight controls, engines, hydraulics, and fuel systems.
Apply technical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
Conduct aircraft inspections and assist aircrew in flight preparations.
Operate ground support equipment and perform tasks related to aircraft movement.
Annotate maintenance actions in aircraft records and complete associated entries in Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS).
Practice good housekeeping, tool control, safety measures, and prevention of Foreign Object Damage.
Perform other duties as assigned, including temporary duty and travel.

Required

Minimum of four years working knowledge of helicopter maintenance operations is required.
Specific experience on the UH-1N, Bell 212 or UH-1. Demonstrated knowledge of the use of aircraft hand tools, special tools, and test equipment is required.
Must have a working knowledge of aircraft safety requirements and know how to operate portable firefighting equipment.
The ability to read, interpret, and comprehend schematic diagrams, drawings, charts, and technical publications are required. An FAA Airframe Certificate may be required.
Occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 50 pounds is required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a United States Secret Security Clearance.
Requires flightline driver’s license.
