Responsibilities

Identify and research local, state, and national funding opportunities, aligning grant proposals with Amplify Utah’s mission and program priorities.

Maintain a calendar of grant opportunities, submission deadlines, and reporting requirements.

Write and prepare compelling grant proposals, including narratives, budgets, and supporting materials, with input from program and finance staff.

Submit grant applications via online portals and manage login credentials for all funder systems.

Maintain organized files of grant-related documents, narratives, and supporting data in Amplify Utah’s database.

Draft and submit progress and final reports to funders, highlighting program outcomes, successes, and stories of impact.

Collaborate with staff and board members to gather necessary information for reporting, including budget updates and program results.

Coordinate with Amplify Utah’s leadership and relevant staff to ensure grant proposals align with organizational priorities and to support compliance with funder requirements.

Support Amplify Utah’s Executive Director in facilitating effective board meetings and other program-related administrative tasks.

Required

Proven experience in grant writing with a track record of successful proposals (extra applause if you’ve secured funding for media or storytelling initiatives).

A way with words—you’re a natural storyteller who can turn complex details into compelling grant magic.

Top-notch organizational skills— able to juggle deadlines, details, and multiple projects.

Self-starter energy. You take initiative and make things happen, no hand-holding needed.

Preferred

A degree in English, communication, nonprofit management, or a similar field that speaks to your love for the written word and community impact.

Experience working with nonprofit organizations and/or a love for journalistic storytelling that makes the world a better place.
