Responsibilities
Abstracts, analyzes, and codes clinical data according to appropriate classification systems.
Obtains long-term follow-up data.
Analyzes health records according to established standards.
Processes, maintains, compiles, and reports on health information for research, quality assurance, and program planning.

Required
Associate's degree
Four (4) years of cancer registry experience and CTR accepted in lieu of Associate's degree
Current employees who were hired or transferred into the position prior to February 20, 2023 will be grandfathered
Must be highly organized, capable of working independently, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
Ability to interact with physicians and hospital staff
Certified Tumor Registrar within two (2) years from date of hire or transfer into the position
Less than one (1) year oncology or tumor registry experience
Preferred
Coursework in Human Anatomy and Physiology or medical terminology
Enrolled in a National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA)-Accredited Formal Education Certificate or Degree Program with expectation of becoming a Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR)
One (1) year oncology or tumor registry experience
Telework experience
Certified Tumor Registrar eligible
