Responsibilities
Develop and execute laboratory work plans/schedules independently
Perform method development, validation, and transfer activities with some supervision
Direct projects and employees, taking on a technical lead role
Comply with divisional and site Environmental Health and Safety requirements
Review technical documents for accuracy, thoroughness, and regulatory compliance
Direct the work of technical staff, including work assignments
Train others on laboratory techniques
Execute efficiency improvement projects with guidance
Identify and recommend business opportunities on a project-specific basis
Address work issues at both individual and team levels

Required
Bachelor's degree in related life science or physical science is required as a minimum education requirement. Doctorate Degree in related life science or physical science field required with related work experience preferred. Master's degree in related life science or physical science field required with 4+ years related work experience preferred; Bachelor's degree in related life science or physical science field required with 6+ years related work experience preferred.
HPLC experience required, dissolution experience preferred
Experience in GMP preferred
Method development experience preferred
Proactively address work issues at both an individual and a team level
Ability to process, maintain, and interpret data; Understanding of instrument operations and troubleshooting skills in multiple techniques
Written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers; Well organized and ability to multitask as well as efficient time management
Preferred
Technical writing experience preferred
Work environment: The employee must regularly lift, push and/or pull up to 40 pounds. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally required the kneel with constant standing and reaching, with frequent walking and sitting.
