Responsibilities

Advise on best practices for designing and developing Android Auto applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX designers, product managers, and automotive engineers, to align technology with user needs.
Define and implement Android Auto application architecture, ensuring compatibility with automotive systems and compliance with Android Auto standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration challenges, including hardware-software communication within automotive environments.
Provide input on development frameworks, tools, and strategies for scalability and performance optimization.

Required

5+ years of Android development experience, with at least 2+ years focused on Android Auto or similar in-vehicle applications.
Strong proficiency in Java/Kotlin and Android SDK.
Hands-on experience with Android Auto APIs, automotive hardware integration, and system testing.
Understanding of Android Auto design guidelines and driver safety requirements.
Experience in collaborating with automotive OEMs or in-vehicle infotainment teams is a strong plus.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred

Experience with Automotive OS, embedded systems, or vehicle communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, or Ethernet).
Knowledge of IoT frameworks, cloud connectivity, or edge computing.
Familiarity with Google Automotive Services (GAS).
