Responsibilities
Develop and maintain scalable, secure, and sustainable application architectures that align with business requirements and the broader enterprise architecture.
Identify and leverage seams within existing legacy desktop applications to safely refactor and migrate the codebase to a web-based architecture, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption to existing functionality.
Collaborate with Product Managers, stakeholders, Engineers, and Senior Architects to translate business needs into technical specifications that work within the broader enterprise architecture.
Leverage proven design principles such as clean code, refactoring, and test-driven development to ensure the creation of high-quality, robust software solutions.
Optimize application performance, ensuring responsiveness and reliability to meet the needs of front-end and data teams.
Ensure that application designs and implementations are consistent with the enterprise architecture, supporting the strategic goals of the organization.
Participate in peer review processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development practices, maintaining the highest standards of software quality, security, and integrity.
Ensure application code is held to a high standard and routinely work with application engineers to identify and resolve areas of improvement.

Required
10+ years of relevant work experience.
5+ years of experience specifically as an Architect, Lead Engineer, or related role.
Familiarity with building web services on AWS
Python Fluency
C# Fluency
Experience building data visualization applications
Experience building web architectures
Experience using AWS
Proven ability to work on both greenfield and legacy code projects
Proven ability to improve code quality across their team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
