Responsibilities
Liaise with existing and potential customers to understand their needs and match to Caudwell Marine product and technology solutions
Work as part of the sales team to ensure the right product package is presented to customers, ensuring alignment of technical and commercial factors. Support quotation and negotiation process accordingly.
Liaise with Caudwell Marine technical functions, especially Engineering and Customer Support teams, to ensure familiarity with product solutions and related technical capabilities.
Ensure our customers technical needs are correctly represented to the Caudwell Marine business (act as technical Voice of the Customer) and in turn that Caudwell Marine is represented to the highest levels to our customers
Supporting installation and commission of Caudwell Marine product onto customer applications as required
Supporting customer training on Caudwell Marine products as required
Support customer sales activities/promotions/trade shows through presentation and other communication of Caudwell Marine product & technical solutions
Support customer testing and field trial operations to ensure Caudwell Marine products and technology systems operate to the highest level within their capabilities. Ensure customers understand and experience the full potential and limitations of our product and technology systems
Provide rapid and effective response to any urgent customer technical items, ensuring industry leading support is provided to our customers

Required
Minimum of 5 years in marine engine engineering and / or technician experience; including electronics / electrical knowledge
Experience of working in the marine market in your region of responsibility, preferably with commercial and or governmental applications
Ability to understand technical issues
Customer/market focused approach with result’s orientated, ‘can do’ attitude
Ability to communicate externally & internally at all levels, with focus on technical items
Always provide industry leading customer service

Relationship builder
Process driven
Commercial acumen to assess and analyse market & customer potential
Marine outboard service management experience would be a real advantage
Willingness to travel region-wide and, when necessary, globally
Determination to achieve overall results required
Excellent organisational & planning skills
High level of IT and technology skills to allow data analysis and effective communication of results
Ability to work independently and safely
Ability to make informed decisions
High level of oral and written communication skills
Preferred
Previous new product launch experience preferred
Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electronics Engineering Degree or HND preferred
Evidence of other formal qualifications & training to demonstrate high technical competence in mechanical and electronic engineering and maintenance
Worked in a Small, Medium Enterprise (SME) and can demonstrate the ability to ‘roll their sleeves up’ and personally get things done as part of a small team
