Responsibilities

Responsible for the main area of the system itself, hardware tape drive.

Power side of the world.

IBM power, IBMI OS upgrades, system patches and fixes, firmware upgrades.

Also- Application patching, coming up with a schedule for how often things are patched, disaster recovery, Fail over, etc.

More so about the systems/hardware and fixes.

Be able to design and provide direction of that aspect of it.

Recommend hardware system solutions based on business and user needs, while considering technology, costs, and scalability and integration requirements with other applications or systems.

Handles the system, the hardware, maintaining the system, Disaster recovery, etc.

Someone who engages end user to define requirements to bridge the gap between IT and end users.

Propose the end user and translate for the development staff.

Required

Minimum 5 years of experience in IBMI specific administration (IBMI, AS400, I-series)
