Responsibilities

Oversee the complete billing cycle for ABA and PT patients, delivering outstanding service to internal and external clients.

Analyze and resolve reimbursement issues to optimize the collection of outstanding accounts receivable (AR).

Investigate and address denials promptly to minimize recurrences.

Engage with insurance companies to resolve denied claims through corrected submissions, disputes, and appeals.

Accurately document follow-up activities for all claims.

Manage correspondence via mail, fax, and bank lockbox.

Achieve key performance targets as defined by management.

Recommend write-offs for accounts that do not meet payer guidelines.

Collaborate with third-party agencies to address unresolved AR as needed.

Identify and escalate trends or issues impacting billing to management.

Address patient inquiries and work with internal teams to resolve denials.

Process refund requests and verify credit balances.

Stay updated on payer policies and billing standards.

Support new hire training and assist in onboarding as needed.

Perform payment reconciliation and contribute to special projects as assigned.
