Responsibilities
Monitor accounts receivable inventory for timely follow-up and claims resolution
Submit appeals for accounts with retroactive coverage
Follow up on unpaid commercial and third-party claims in a timely manner
Review and understand explanations of benefits and remittance advice
Document all follow-up efforts clearly in the accounts receivable system

Required
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 1 year of patient registration, billing, or equivalent experience
Working knowledge of medical and insurance terms
Ability to review and discuss HCFA billing with insurance or government agencies
General computer knowledge and experience with electronic filing
Preferred
Experience working directly with explanations of benefits (EOBs) and contractual adjustments
Strong verbal and written communication skills with professionalism
Proven ability to meet productivity expectations
