Responsibilities

Monitor commercial and specialty payer accounts receivable to ensure timely follow-up and claims resolution
Submit appeals for accounts with retroactive coverage obtained
Follow up on unpaid commercial and third-party payer claims in a timely manner
Document all follow-up efforts clearly in the accounts receivable system
Collaborate with the denials team on difficult or recurring denials

Required

High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 1 year of patient registration, billing, or equivalent experience
Working knowledge of medical and insurance terms
Ability to review and discuss HCFA billing with insurance or government agencies
Experience working directly with EOBs and contractual adjustments

Preferred

General computer knowledge, particularly with electronic filing
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor
Proven ability to meet productivity expectations
