Responsibilities
Develop the design and delivery of a project's architectural and technical aspects.
Knowledge of architectural design principles, technical details, codes, and material characteristics.
Participate in all project phases, primarily in design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
Participate in developing functional, sustainable, and aesthetic designs with responsibilities that focus on project delivery and construction documents.
Provide design and documentation support on projects of various sizes, types, and complexity.
Develop iterative solutions under the guidance and direction of a licensed architect.
Participate in design through all phases, from concept to construction administration.
Assist in the design and schematic drawings for all projects.
Identify and propose technical solutions to design challenges.
Create buildings and design solutions that elevate the human experience through design.
Write/create design specifications, presentation plans, renderings, and animations.
Perform related duties as assigned.

Required
Professional Architectural degree from an accredited program preferred or equivalent experience
On the path toward licensure
Proficient in computer modeling and rendering software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, and Adobe Creative Cloud (including but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
Strong knowledge and experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite
Willingness to work in your strengths and partner with the strengths of others
Excellent design talent and graphic communication skills
A passion and commitment to sustainable and regenerative design strategies and practices and an interest in the adaptive reuse of existing structures
Strong understanding of placemaking, place development, urban form, and building typologies
Familiarity with current technology and ability to work across multiple platforms to produce exceptional work for our clients
Prepare and present design concepts
Prepare specifications and drawings using Revit and AutoCAD
Client and team-focused
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong collaborative internal and external working relationships
Eagerness to develop your professional expertise and desire to grow professionally
Community engagement capabilities
Preferred
Professional Architectural degree from an accredited program
Work collaboratively with planners, architects, and builders
Engage in people, land, and marketplace research and design
Create 2D and 3D analytical and conceptual drawings, graphics, digital and physical models, and construction documentation
Be challenged to become the best version of yourself
Work at the Rockford office full-time or remotely and come into the office 2-3 days/week for weekly meetings and project collaboration
