Responsibilities
Create comprehensive architectural approval drawings for customers.
Develop part and assembly drawings for production and fabrication.
Review specifications, drawings, and other documents to determine the correct scope of work.
Build and maintain relationships with customers through clear and regular communication.
Manage time and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Recommend appropriate products based on customer needs.
Plan, organize, and control projects on a daily basis.
Produce accurate CAD drawings and designs, including dimensions, for customers and shop personnel.
Develop bills of material, material take-offs, and other requirements to produce products.
Ensure metal product designs meet project specifications and production capabilities.
Perform engineering calculations to ensure product conformity with loading requirements.
Participate in product strategy, development, and manufacturing coordination.
Collaborate with cross-functional groups (Manufacturing, Logistics, Accounting, and suppliers) to resolve product-related issues.
Interface with teams addressing quality, new product introduction, capacity issues, purchasing, and planning.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a combination of education and experience
Experience with metals, welding symbols, and manufacturing processes is a plus
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar 3-D CAD)
Results-oriented with strong communication skills across multiple company levels
