Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable and reliable Arcserve UDP-based backup solutions for physical servers, virtual machines, and cloud-based workloads.
Configure and optimize backup policies, schedules, and retention periods.
Ensure seamless integration of Arcserve UDP with existing storage infrastructure.
Monitor the health and performance of Arcserve backup infrastructure.
Perform regular maintenance tasks and troubleshoot backup failures.
Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans for critical business systems.
Conduct disaster recovery drills and exercises to evaluate and improve recovery procedures.

Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Arcserve UDP or other enterprise-level backup solutions.
Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing backup infrastructure in a complex IT environment.
Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), storage technologies (SAN, NAS), and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
Expert-level knowledge of Arcserve UDP architecture, components, and features.
Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for backup automation and customization.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
Preferred
Arcserve Certified Professional (ACP) certification is preferred.
Familiarity with cloud backup solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
Experience with other backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault) is a plus.
Strong understanding of data protection regulations (GDPR, HIPAA) is desirable.
