Responsibilities
Manage grant processes for the Boulder Arts Commission Grant program including creating documents, facilitating scoring and approvals, managing grant agreements and payments, and coordinating data and evaluation projects.
Coordinate support programs for nonprofits by organizing leadership gatherings, networking events, and providing professional development opportunities.
Collaborate with communication staff on social media strategy, maintain relationships with stakeholders, and support promotional initiatives.
Serve as a subject matter expert on grantmaking and nonprofits, implement laws and policies, and prepare annual work plans and budget recommendations.
Maintain records of projects, communicate effectively, work within budget constraints, track expenditures, and manage contractors, interns, and volunteers.
Keep skills and knowledge updated and attend meetings as required.

Required
Ability to demonstrate general computer experience.
Knowledge and experience in the arts, nonprofit administration, the creative economy, or a related field.
Skills demonstrating effective verbal and written communication skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Have and maintain acceptable background information, including criminal conviction history and motor vehicle record.
Bachelor’s degree in arts administration or related field; or equivalent of eight (8) years related experience may substitute for the education requirement only.
Four (4) years of experience in a related position.
Preferred
Ability to demonstrate experience specific to the programmatic operation.
Ability to demonstrate experience working with non-profit organizations, advocacy groups, and/or individual creative professionals.
Ability to demonstrate proficiency in conversational and written Spanish.
Knowledge and experience working in a government organization.
Skills and experience with promotional activities such as public speaking, writing, social media, traditional media, and/or advertising.
