Responsibilities
Maintains equipment, spares, and hazardous material inventories.
Maintains vessel equipment, performing routine and preventative maintenance as well as corrective maintenance.
Conducts fuel oil soundings and prepares fuel reports.
Schedules and performs Preventative Maintenance
Operates machinery and engineering systems.
Maintains and enforces shipboard safety programs.
Fills out purchasing forms, worksheets, and receives purchased items. Assists in the purchasing and ordering from vendors. Assists in the preparation of corporate documents, contract deliverables, and other paperwork as directed.
Conducts fuel oil and engineering consumables transfers, loading, and discharges.
Maintains hazardous material management plans
All other duties as assigned.

Required
HS Diploma or Equivalent
Must possess USCG License (Merchant Mariner’s Credential) for Third Assistant Engineer 2500 HP
Top Secret SCI eligibility; Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within 90 days. Current U.S. Citizenship Required
Shall hold an open ocean U.S. Coast Guard license as Assistant Engineer of inspected motor vessels powered by not less than 2500 HP diesel engines with a minimum of three years of experience in that class.
