Responsibilities
Solves complex problems and calculations using engineering formulas and skills
Assists in preparing proposal estimates and scheduling staffing requirements for field projects
Develops and maintains a schedule and budget for the assigned engineering project
Coordinates project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages
Performs site inspections, designs portions of a project, and conducts routine laboratory tests
Supervises and delegates assignments to staff, reviews status reports, and prepares project reports
Identifies potential new projects and seeks opportunities to promote company services
Travels up to 75% of the time, which may be out of state

Required
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a minimum of 3-5 years of field or related experience
PE license counts towards related experience
Ability to review and understand plans, specs, and reports including site, grading, utility, foundation, details, structural, drawings, architectural, grading, federal, state and local regulations
40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) preferred or have the ability to become licensed within 2 years of being in this position
Valid Driver’s License and possess reliable transportation to access job sites
Able to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of solid geometry and trigonometry
Able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Proficient or familiarity with AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, NitroPro, GSLOPE, KeyWall, Rocscience, MS Word, Excel, Adobe
Position requires ability to use tools such as a lump hammer, shovel, hand auger, Nuclear Density Gauge
Preferred
Previous construction experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred or have the ability to become licensed within 2 years of being in this position
ACI/NICET/NJ DCA Special Inspector and Nuclear Densometer certification a plus
