Assistant Project Manager

Responsibilities
Work with the Project Manager to review cost, schedule, safety, quality, and completion of construction projects
Coordinate with Purchasing to expedite material for projects
Assist in preparing cash flows, monthly billing, and change orders
Maintain construction progress reports and schedules
Develop project estimates and pricing
Support sales organization in proposal preparation
Resolve conflicts and delays to meet project goals
Collaborate with various divisions within the company

Required
A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management, or related field is required.
Three years of experience in the design, construction, or operations of substations and/or transmission lines is strongly preferred.
Three years of experience in the supervision/management of budgets and work groups is preferred.
Demonstrated understanding of substations, substation control, and transmission systems is strongly preferred.
Understanding of the financial aspects of project controls.
Interpersonal skills, technical knowledge, organizational ability, and leadership talent.
Able to effectively communicate with internal and external customers from a project or sales perspective.
Ability to negotiate and influence key decision-makers.
Technical writing skills with an understanding of business management concepts.
Computer proficient: familiar with Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Willing to travel to project sites as necessary.
Preferred
Microsoft Project and Primavera experience strongly preferred.
