Responsibilities
Prospect and Qualify Leads: Identify potential clients through research and outreach, engaging decision-makers to understand their goals and challenges.
Build Client Relationships: Develop strong, consultative relationships with clients, presenting Payload’s offerings in a way that aligns with their needs.
Support the Sales Cycle: Assist in preparing proposals, negotiating terms, and closing deals to meet or exceed revenue targets.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with marketing, editorial, and operations teams to align on client strategies and deliverables.
Track and Report: Use CRM tools to maintain accurate records of client interactions and pipeline activities.
Stay Informed: Keep up with trends in the space industry to position Payload as a knowledgeable and credible partner.

Required
1–2 years of sales experience is a plus, but a strong desire to build a career in sales is even more important.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a knack for building rapport quickly.
Motivated, organized, and proactive in driving results.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams.
Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) is a bonus.
Passion for or interest in the space industry and a desire to learn more about it.
Preference for candidates based in Washington, D.C., or Los Angeles, but open to other U.S. locations.
