Responsibilities

Oversee operating functions related to member services, products, and relationship management systems to enhance funder engagement and support.
Work to optimize backend processes and infrastructure necessary to manage numerous relationships effectively, minimizing uncoordinated tracking systems.
Codify and update procedures so members have clear expectations from the department.
Develop and manage a collaboration services and products plan, collaborating with team members for input and execution.
Oversee a small set of grants/membership contributions for the collaboration program.
Collaborate with the director and stakeholders to develop goals and themes for each convening.
Manage year-round administration and services for the premier convening of major climate funders.
Supervise logistics and operational management for multi-day meetings held in the U.S. and internationally, leading staff responsible for day-to-day functions.
Oversee on-site staff management during major convenings alongside the Meetings Manager.
Guide future meeting design and host engagement, supervising staff responsible for these tasks.
Conduct triannual assessment and review processes, with comprehensive reviews every third year.
Manage appropriate staff members (initially 2-3) and contribute to overall department management.
Collaborate across departments to facilitate cross-team initiatives.
Enhance team communications, workflows, and systems.
Design and manage various workstreams, projects, and systems, overseeing staff as necessary.
Monitor and oversee the department's budget.
Negotiate and manage contracts with external partners and vendors.

Required

A minimum of 10 years working experience, managing complex projects involving external stakeholders.
At least 5 years of experience managing direct reports (minimum of three).
Proven experience overseeing at least three large projects involving contributors outside direct reports.
Demonstrated experience managing teams responsible for large multi-day meetings or conferences.
Experience in managing donor/member services for organizations with 100 or more members.
Strong collaborative project management skills, with the ability to run coordinated cross-team work projects.
Excellent communication and writing skills, able to engage diverse stakeholders from various backgrounds.
Comfort and confidence in supporting and influencing executives.
A history of recruiting, managing diverse teams, and enhancing workplace diversity and inclusion.
Solution-oriented, flexible management style, adept in navigating ambiguity to achieve shared outcomes.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a passion for developing seamless project plans while remaining adaptable.
Ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion.
Technologically adept, comfortable with adopting tech platforms and quick-learning new systems.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 20 days per year.
Ability to work both virtually and in-person with minimal supervision.
Commitment to the mission of the organization.
BA or BS degree is required.

Preferred

Prior experience in nonprofit organizing or advocacy, fundraising or stewardship, coalition projects, or philanthropy is preferred.
A sense of humor in high-pressure situations is a plus.
