Responsibilities

Support the continued development and implementation of the External Operations Supplier Governance model and business processes across the external network for Mural.
Act as business relationship manager for designated Suppliers developing mutually beneficial relationships and accountable to deliver high quality, reliable and efficient supply on time and in full.
Manage KPI’s, scorecards, and provide management oversight for the external network.
Lead Business Review Meetings with key Suppliers along with other appropriate periodic engagement to manage performance and the business relationship
Identify, implement and monitor continuous improvement initiatives & performance measures within the external network.
Implement and maintain Risk Assessment and Risk Management tools and processes to continually evaluate Supplier risk profiles. Establish remediation strategies/plans to reduce risk and improve supply chain robustness.
Monitor Supplier contracts for compliance with contractual terms.
Own, lead and manage the contracting process for assigned Development and Commercial activities with external Suppliers (CMOs, vendors etc.) associated with Mural’s products.
Partner with Legal, Finance, Process Development, Quality, External Operations and other SME functions across the internal network to deliver assigned contracts aligned with business goals.
Support the development & implementation of sustainable & scalable management systems and business processes within the contracting space.
Support the preparation and management of the External Operations & Supply Chain budget.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and delivery of mutual goals.
Ensure personnel assigned to your area of responsibility are appropriately trained commensurate with their roles & responsibilities.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business or a related area is required, and 8+ years relevant work experience
Minimum 4+ years’ of contract negotiation, contract management, direct materials category management, supplier relationship management experience.
Strong interpersonal skills, business acumen and a depth of knowledge of core aspects of the business are required to establish and maintain credibility with internal stakeholders and representatives of external suppliers at appropriate levels including senior management
General knowledge of and experience working in a GMP environment.
Awareness of CFR’s as they apply to pharmaceutical industry
Excellent communication, influencing, collaboration and technical writing skills
Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity, strong problem-solving skills
Travel - domestic and international – expected to be in the region of 25%

Preferred

Experience in life sciences or related industry preferred
Experience of collaboration and achieving results across levels, functions, business units, companies and geographies in a matrixed environment an advantage
