Responsibilities

Assist in analyzing and evaluating examination and test results against applicable requirements.
Use technical judgment to determine compliance with UL requirements.
Interpret and analyze examination and test results against UL requirements.
Review manufacturers' programs of production, inspection, and shipping.
Evaluate options for corrective actions.
Communicate with manufacturers, customers, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
Provide information on UL services and benefits.
Discuss procedures, test methods, and variations in products.
Use instruments to perform inspections and confirm proper calibration.
Document examination, variations, and test results.
Perform various calculations in specific engineering fields.
Integrate continuous improvement concepts into all aspects of the job.

Required

University Degree or Equivalent Technical Certification in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or Physics from an ABET accredited program
Experience in Field Engineering, Compliance, or Quality Engineering preferred
General electronics background, and strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams
Ability to cross sell and understand client business needs
Strong written and verbal communications skills, and client-interfacing skills
Strong computer skills
Conflict resolution skills
Ability to travel locally and regionally, and work remotely
Must be located or willing to relocate to the Tyler, TX Area

Preferred

ASQ certification
Experience with UL Standards, 508A, Industrial Control Panels
