Responsibilities
Analyzes and evaluates existing and new business standard risk.
Provides communication to internal customers on underwriting decisions.
Develops and maintains documentation on underwriting processes and systems.
Assists Underwriter and Senior Underwriter as requested.
Completes special projects assigned by management.
Keeps abreast of current underwriting practices, rating tools, industry changes and state and federal healthcare reform mandates.
Provides assistance and work direction to Underwriting Support.

Required
2+ years' related experience or Bachelor’s degree. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
Working knowledge of underwriting guidelines, risk selection, industry practices.
Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, Adobe and Access.
Excellent analytic and problem solving skills.
Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
All roles require a high school diploma (or equivalency) and legal authorization to work in the U.S.
