Responsibilities

Customize WordPress themes to align with brand guidelines, improve functionality, and ensure responsiveness.

Develop custom plugins and extend functionality of existing plugins to meet project needs.

Optimize WordPress sites for performance, speed, and SEO using best practices.

Manage and maintain LearnDash for course creation, user tracking, and integration with WooCommerce.

Build and maintain integrations between WordPress, WooCommerce, and third-party platforms, ensuring seamless workflows for CRM, automation, and subscription billing.

Oversee WooCommerce Subscriptions, including migrating Stripe subscriptions and managing recurring billing functionality.

Develop scalable and secure web solutions using PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL.

Create and maintain APIs and custom integrations with third-party tools.

Ensure responsive, mobile-first design principles are applied across all web projects.

Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of themes, plugins, and custom code.

Regularly audit website performance and implement improvements such as caching, code minification, and image optimization.

Ensure consistent functionality and UX across browsers and devices.

Work closely with design, marketing, and product teams to deliver cohesive, user-friendly web solutions.

Gather and integrate feedback to refine and enhance ongoing projects.

Stay updated on the latest WordPress, WooCommerce, and LearnDash trends, sharing knowledge with the team.

Required

Strong experience with WordPress, including custom theme and plugin development.

Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Vue.js.

Advanced knowledge of PHP, MySQL, and the WordPress REST API.

Experience with WooCommerce, LearnDash, BuddyBoss, and Groundhogg.

Familiarity with modern web development tools (Git, npm/yarn, Webpack).

Understanding of eCommerce platforms and membership-based sites.

Knowledge of website performance optimization techniques.

Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and SEO principles.

Preferred

Experience in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus.
