Responsibilities

Provide general legal support to various business units in a fast-paced technology-based business environment;

Draft and negotiate contracts relating to the stored value card industry including distribution, resale, ecommerce and vendor agreements;

Assist business units in resolving business and contractual disputes;

Understand business needs and goals, detect legal issues and obstacles, identify solutions and alternatives, and counsel and communicate with executives and managers regarding legal risks, solutions, and alternatives; and

Provide other legal support as required.

Required

5-8 years of experience as a practicing attorney in a corporate law department or law firm.

Juris doctorate and bar membership required.

Demonstrated ability to provide counsel and guidance on complex legal questions or inquiries, and analyze legal issues in area of practice and provide effective advice to clients on routine legal matters.

Must have strong verbal and written communications skills, interpersonal skills, organizational skills and attention to detail, and willing to assist team members as needed.

Must be willing to learn new skills, and be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, and be confident and capable of working with both technology and business contacts in a constantly evolving environment.
