Responsibilities

Collaborates with interface analysts, project/business relationship managers, and client IT personnel to satisfy project deliverables, data requirements, and meet project timelines
Performs mapping tasks using SQL-based configuration and hierarchical, layered transformation of source schema to meet target output schema specifications as defined by HL7 standards and client/system/product specifications.
Builds, monitors, and maintains healthcare data integrations using interface engines such as Mirth, Corepoint, Iguana, etc. per Rayus and healthcare industry standards.
Documents the client-side EHR workflow and its implications on the data expected to be integrated within our systems.
Maintains accurate project files including but not limited to: all assumptions and key steps during the mapping process, tracking the progress towards completion of the spec., and codes for transition into production
Adheres to change management processes to resolve interface software defects or implement development enhancements and deployments
Analyzes client test data to evaluate data quality and availability
Acts as the point contact for the assigned interface development issues and escalation related to technical obstacles or peer review
Performs comprehensive data validation and troubleshooting data issues through problem-solving with internal and external stakeholders
Provides technical assistance and monitors the connectivity/availability, performance, security, and scalability of the data integration platform
Troubleshoots interface issues, provide timely resolutions to minimize disruptions and adheres to defined service level agreements (SLAs).
Collaborate across teams to share knowledge that informs optimal service delivery
Maintains comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
Rotational on call support is required
Provides off hours support for critical maintenance or problem resolution
Completes other tasks and projects as assigned

Required

Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent experience
2 years of demonstrable experience with a SQL based query language, and HL7 standards and messaging protocols
1 year of data integration or similar experience with tools such as Mirth
Demonstrable programming skills in languages like C#, or Java
Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocols
Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines
Knowledge of healthcare data exchange protocols and standards (e.g., HL7 standards and messaging protocols, DICOM, etc.)
Knowledge of relational database concepts (e.g., logical schemas, physical table structures, data attributes, primary and foreign keys, query languages, security, control, backup, and disaster recovery)
Knowledge and experience with various development methodologies (e.g. Agile)
Knowledge and experience with translating business requirements into working solutions with integration diagrams and flow charts
Knowledge and experience with change management best practices
Skill in organizing, time management and prioritizing work and following assignments through to completion
Skill in written and verbal communication
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to relate professionally with people
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines
Ability to be flexible and adaptable to constant change
Ability to effectively handle details with accuracy
Ability to manage schedule to ensure work is completed
Ability to deliver high quality customer service to internal and external customers by communicating with integrity and compassion

Preferred

Experience in one or more EMRs (e.g. Epic, eCW, Cerner, Athena) and comfort with common healthcare ontologies
Familiarity with API design and development
Healthcare experience
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline a plus
