Responsibilities

Assist with key areas of the company’s tax controllership and compliance processes, focusing most prominently on tax provisioning and financial reporting

Assist with critical balance sheet account reconciliations and supporting schedules

Maintain compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures

Maintain up-to-date process documentation and procedures for all tasks

Provide assistance and support for internal and external audits related to specific areas of responsibility

Support ad hoc financial information requests and analyses and other special projects as assigned

Partner with the greater Coinbase tax and finance teams to advise and consult on tax accounting and compliance matters.

CPA

5+ years of relevant tax experience

Significant experience with ASC740 including the preparation of complex tax provisions

Broad based technical tax experience

Excellent speaking and communication skills while working with business teams and explaining tax concepts to both tax and non-tax audiences

Outstanding detail-orientation and process-orientation skills

Excellent analytical skills, business partnering, problem solving and prioritization skills

Strong work ethic and team player
