Responsibilities

Takes direction from CMP laboratory management team for existing and new instruments.

Creates recipes and develops new methodologies on CMP metrology instruments.

Enhances instrument performance through continuous improvements.

Coordinates with application and formulation team to ensure timely project completion.

Defines and maintains equipment KPIs for quality, uptime, and costs.

Becomes a technical expert for the respective instrument specialization.

Maintains SPC charts for lab equipment.

Documents SOP, BKM, and PM of CMP instrumentation.

Manages service contracts with vendors and purchase team.

Facilitates training for other technicians/engineers on new tools and methodologies.

Streamlines and automates instrument data analysis and reporting.

Supports instrument evaluation/demo for new tools as per CMP business needs.

Required

Minimum of a master’s degree in Chemistry, Material Science or Chemical Engineering.

Minimum 8 years of experience with the semiconductor industry, CMP slurries, and polishing and metrology tools. Metrology instrument experience preferred.

Comfortable working under minimal supervision to achieve goals in a rapidly evolving environment.

Track record of problem solving and technical creativity

Knowledge of defect analysis, statistical analyses and ability to understand and interpret data, experience with Klarity software is a plus

Must have experience with Power Point, Excel or other software tools to generate concise presentations.

Must have demonstrated communication skills.

Proven self-starter with ability to multi-task and prioritize.
