Responsibilities

Write SAS programs based on specifications or consultations with supervisor, other programmers, and end users.

Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs.

Revise program for corrections, enhancements, or system environment changes.

Coordinate with other programmers about program revisions.

Modify and maintain SAS programs written by others.

Document changes to programs and note specific changes within programs per programming best practices Produce datasets and displays utilizing SAS code that is easily understood and modified by others where possible.

Program data checks to support data cleaning.

Required

BA/BS in computer science, statistics, or related field along with 3 months to 1 year of professional experience programming in the SAS language is desired (internships included!)

Strong SAS/Base knowledge with an emphasis on data step programming along with strong data analysis skills are required.

Comfortable at understanding and modifying pre-existing SAS code, as well as writing SAS code from specs.

Ability to work with minimal oversight as well as to work as a member of a project team.
