Responsibilities

Establish timetables to implement projects.
Provide design input to projects including the construction of new maintenance facilities or the renovation of existing facilities.
Assist with FCC licensing and develop, review, and process contracts for services.
Oversee the installation, maintenance, and operation of the Department’s Land Mobile Radio (LMR), Broadband Middle Mile Network (BMMN) fiber optic implementation within Maintenance facilities, Connected Vehicle to Everything (C-V2X), 4.9 GHz Intelligent Transportation System wireless implementation, Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) and satellite systems.
Develop and provide training for system users.
Prepare work orders, provide technical and logistical support.
Statewide travel is required to support planned and emergency communications technical support, site assessments, and site inspections.

Required

Possession of a Class C Driver's license is required.
Statewide travel is required to support planned and emergency communications technical support, site assessments and site inspections.
A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required. To be considered for the position, applicants must submit an SOQ along with their application. The SOQ serves as documentation of each applicant’s ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing. SOQs must be no more than two (2) pages in length and typed using no less than 12-point Arial font.
Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment.
If you are basing your eligibility on education, you must include your unofficial transcript(s)/diploma for verification.
Unofficial, original, or official sealed transcripts will be accepted and may be required upon appointment.
Applicants with foreign transcripts/degrees must provide a transcript/degree U.S. equivalency report evaluation that indicates the number of units and degree to which the foreign coursework is equivalent.
Possession of a Class C Driver's license is required.
